About The Company
At Canal City Industrial, we are genuinely excited about what we do. Our passion is to provide high quality steel installs for Ohio’s construction and fabrication companies, whether that means creating structural components or installing featured products. With the majority of our workers bringing 20 years of experience to the table, we are proud to offer clients a service backed by expertise.
We love a challenge. Some days, we produce and install large-scale foundational structures, while others are spent focusing on more ornamental steel pieces. We genuinely enjoy the wide scope of projects and clients that we partner with. Our team takes pride in producing these niche products for the construction industry and we have fun with every bit of detail and innovation that goes into the work on a daily basis.

About Nate Gurnish, Owner
Nate Gurnish is the founder and steel expert behind Canal City Industrial. He is a member of the Steel Erectors Association of America with decades of experience in the trades and the steel industry. Nate worked in the trades all throughout high school and college, even up until he got his first job as a teacher. Eventually, he realized that steel work was his true calling and landed a position at a steel fabrication company, where he really started learning the ins and outs of the industry.
During that time, Nate noticed that there were significant communication barriers between contractors and iron workers that were making projects unnecessarily complicated. From there, he decided to start his own company that would bridge this gap. By starting Canal City Industrial, Nate’s vision is to provide a seamless and reliable experience that sheds a new light on the steel erection and ornamental iron trade. Today, he is proud to work with skilled and efficient tradesmen who are not only passionate about their craft, but about making clients happy, too.
